At last the Ogun box set arrived and the response, reviews from around the world have been great. Rightly so for this amazing contribution to the world of music.

Ogun’s plans for 2009 include, the re-issue of Keith Tippet’s septet previously released as a double LP A Loose Kite In a Gentle Wind OG07/08 planned for release in January, OGCD030.
A new recording by Louis Moholo-Moholo’s septet featuring Jason Yarde, Ntshuks Bonga, Orphy Robinson, Pule Pheto, Francine Luce, and John Edwards. release about May / June OGCD031.
That is for starters and should keep me busy!

Thank you for the pleasure of your custom which provides the 'Raison D'Etre' for our continuing despite the inclement commercial climate . As you all will be aware there have been a few of these over the past 35 years, but our music fights through like a shining beacon.

Due to various problems the new Cadillac release SGCCD007, featuring the amazing Dudu Pukwana has been delayed but it will be released in the new Year, 2009.

Following this there will be one from the archives, the 2 Johnny Dyani ‘Witch Doctors LPs SGC1016 and SGC1017 on one CD - definitely one to look forward to. Plus more, it is going to be productive year for the CADILLAC LABEL

So it’s excelsior and into 2009, no matter what challenges we face the music must go on being available for you good people. Keep asking and we will do our best to keep tracking down your requests.
